34 HIGHER EDUCATION IN BALI PROVINCE SIGNS THE MOU WITH THE DGT OF BALI, TAXES ENTER IN THE COURSE
Denpasar - The highlight of the "2018 Inclusion Week" was held on Friday (11/09/2018) at the LLDikti Hall. The event was coupled with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) of Bali and 34 Universities in Bali Province, one of which was Udayana University. The implementation of its activities is focused on Increasing Tax Awareness in Higher Education.
On this occasion the Rector of Unud was represented by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Wyasa Putra, SH., M. Hum. The signing of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was also coupled with the Public Lecture with the theme "Inclusion of Tax Awareness in Higher Education" with the speaker Prof. Dr. Poltak Maruli John Liberty Hutagaol, M.Acc (Hons), SE.Ak (Director of International Taxation at the Directorate General of Taxes Headquarters) and Tutik Kusuma Wardhani, SE, MM, M.Kes (Member of Commission XI DPR RI).
Inclusion Tax awareness is a program that integrates the values contained in fulfilling tax obligations into courses delivered to students. This program has been started since 2015 marked by the signing of a joint agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education.
For the initial stage, the tax awareness inclusion program was applied to general compulsory courses consisting of Pancasila, Citizenship, Indonesian Language and Religion courses. This program which is hidden curriculum requires the full support and participation of the lecturers as teaching staff. In this program the Lecturers were asked to insert the values contained in fulfilling the obligation to pay taxes such as defending the country, loving the country, the spirit of sharing, and others in delivering certain topics in a course.
