Establishing Collaboration, Udayana University Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Tianjin Medical University

Udayana University (Unud) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tianjin Medical University (TMU), Thursday (22/02/2024), located in the Bahasa Room, 2nd Floor, Rectorate Building, Udayana University Bukit Jimbaran Campus.

Present at the signing event, the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, Main Director of Udayana University Hospital Prof. Dewa Putu Gde Purwa Samatra, and Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Faculty of Medicine, Prof. I Md. Ady Wirawan. From Tianjin, the President of Tianjin Medical University, Prof. Yan Hua, and Chairman of the Health and Medical Exchange Cooperation Committee of China-Asia Economic Development Association, Mr. Yang Guanglin.

Rector of Unud Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, in his speech said that this visit was an excellent opportunity for the two universities to foster a sense of mutual understanding and friendship between nations and expand cooperation not only in the fields of business, culture, language and tourism but also in the fields of health and medical exchange.

Previously, in early December 2023, the Rector of Udayana University also had the opportunity to visit and see the campus and various facilities owned by TMU. The hope is that the Faculty of Medicine will have the opportunity to implement specific programs based on the topics agreed upon by the two universities in the MoU, and in the future the Unud Faculty of Medicine will also be able to compete at the international level.

President of Tianjin Medical University, Prof. Yan Hua said that the TMU Faculty of Medicine is the best Medical Faculty in China. With the MoU with Udayana University, it is hoped that more synchronized cooperation will be established in the fields of education, culture, health and research. Various countries have collaborated in the health sector with TMU, the same thing is expected through the collaboration built with Udayana University today.

"Udayana University also has the same opportunity to follow up with various activities that are possible for both parties to carry out, including staff exchanges, research, training in the health sector, and technical cooperation in other health fields," said the President of Tianjin Medical University.
