FTP Udayana Steadily Expands Collaboration with Austria
The
Faculty of Agricultural Technology is determined to expand its international
cooperation network by targeting Austria. Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural
Technology Prof. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya, M.App.Sc., Ph.D. strengthen
the expansion of the international collaboration network in Austria,
specifically with BOKU University. Previously, FTP Udayana had signed a
collaboration with The University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU)
Vienna and had realized several collaborative research activities.
It
didn't stop there, the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana
University, Prof. Anom Wijaya, visited several departments at BOKU on 28
September 2023- 5 October 2023 to expand the possibility of future
collaboration accompanied by Ni Nyoman Sulastri, S.TP., M.Agr. ,Ph.D and Dr.
Sumiyati, S.TP., M.P. Some of the departments visited were the Department of
Plant Sciences, where the team was shown research facilities and experimental
fields by Prof. Hans–Peter Kaul. Apart from that, the second visit to the
Department of Food Science and Technology was immediately received by Prof.
Haltrich Dietmar as head of the department and took the Udayana FTP team to see
several laboratories in the department. The third visit was to the Institute of
Organic Agriculture, which was received directly by Prof. Friedel also
discussed several possible topics for research collaboration with the Udayana
FTP Team. The fourth visit was to the Institute of Soil Physics and Rural Water
Management, where the team from FTP Udayana was received directly by Dr.
Reinhard Nolz. He showed the team ongoing research and introduced it to
graduate students and staff. Last visit to BOKU International Relations.
Calderón-Peter Margarita, as head of the International Relations Unit, welcomed
the possibility of collaboration between the teams, including several
scholarships available for postgraduate studies.
The
Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology hopes that through the
Collaboration assessment carried out, FTP Udayana can increase international
collaboration and of course provide more opportunities for the FTP Udayana
academic community to collaborate at the international level.
