Denpasar – Saturday (10/02), Student Administration Student Representative Council (DPM PM) Udayana held a Rector Meeting 2018 with the theme "Synergize Achieve Integrity and Commitment Through Student Aspiration" at Student Center Sudirman building.
This annual event has indeed become the regular agenda of DPM PM Udayana in every stewardship. In addition, the rector meeting this time is considered important and interesting considering the Rector of 2017/2021 new period elected and sworn in last August.
"It is not just an ordinary annual event, but the implementation of this activity aims to provide space and opportunities for all students to issue their aspirations both in terms of complaining, giving criticism and suggestions on the ranks of the rectorate" said Andre Martin Luther Silaban, Chief Executive of Rector 2018.
If the previous events of the rectorate ranks looked busy and the presence are all represented, it looks different on yesterday event attended by the ranks of rectors like Prof. Dr.dr. A.A Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K) as the Rector of Unud, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng as the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. I Gusti Bagus Wiksuana, SE., MS as the Vice Rector for General and Finance Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Made Sudarma, M.S as the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Wyasa Putra, SH., M.Hum as the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, 13 faculty deans, head of student affairs bureau, and the head of Student Affairs Division of Udayana University.
"The rector meeting this time is very satisfactory, because the ranks of all rectors can attend, it is usually very difficult to meet with the rector," said Mila, a student of 2015 generation.
Of course this opportunity is not wasted by the students. In general, many students give criticism and suggestions about campus facilities that are still not optimal.
"Therefore I really take the advantage of this moment to ask what should be asked, for example about facilities in the less LCD class, damaged projectors, then ac also there is not working, the bathroom, then the room is overloaded so as to make learning less comfortable, and also related students who participate in the race is also to scent the name of Udayana dah sometimes we are still a bit hard to find the fund, and how is the solution." Mila said again.
Prof. Dr. dr. A. A Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K) highly appreciated the activities that can bring togetherness and listen directly to the complaints of this student. In her speech, she hopes that through this Rector's Meeting, the students can know all the plans of the future rector, and ask the students to contribute in achieving their vision of mission, which is the improvement of the governance, the strengthening of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, the strengthening of Human Resources Competence, and the improvement of the quality of facilities and academic and non academic infrastructure.
Furthermore, the first female rector at Udayana University also provides answers to student questions about campus facilities that are less than optimal.
"We from the ranks of the rectorate will make every effort to improve the system and the facilities of the campus are still less than the maximum, and certainly can not at once but needed a process to fix it, in the shortest time we will try to comfort learning and teaching." Explained the Rector of Udayana University.
