Udayana University and Esa Unggul University Extend Collaboration

Denpasar - Udayana University (Unud) extended the partnership with Esa Unggul University which was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by both parties and also the signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University and the Faculty of Physiotherapy, University of Esa Unggul, which took place in the Meeting Room dr. A.A Made Djelantik, Faculty of Medicine Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Monday (19/6/2023). The signing of this MoU was also coupled with a Public Lecture "Clinical Reasoning in Physiotherapy" with speakers from the Dean of the Faculty of Physiotherapy, Esa Unggul University Wahyuddin, Ftr., M.Sc., Ph.D.

This activity was attended by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information representing the Rector of Udayana University, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University and his staff, the Rector of Esa Unggul University and his staff and students of the Physiotherapy Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information Prof. Dr. dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, M.Kes in his remarks expressed his gratitude for the synergy that had been carried out, so that the Physiotherapy Study Program at Unud could develop. Through this collaboration, it is also hoped that students in the Physiotherapy Study Program will get many benefits. Quite a number of collaborations have been established with Esa Unggul University and through the continuation of this MoU it is hoped that other collaborations will be strengthened.

Furthermore, the Vice Rector said that the Faculty of Medicine is one of the oldest faculties after the Faculty of Humanities and also through this opportunity introduced a glimpse of Unud's Faculty of Medicine and other faculties at Unud.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Esa Unggul University, Dr. Ir. Arief Kusuma Among Praja expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate in the field of higher education Tridharma. Currently at Esa Unggul University there are 12 study programs in the field of health sciences and for the field of physiotherapy a separate faculty has been established, and it is hoped that this will develop with the Masters and Doctoral Study Programs. Esa Unggul University is also one of the pioneers in Indonesia for physiotherapy undergraduate level, besides that it is also a pioneer in several other programs such as medical records, and hospital administration.

Currently at Esa Unggul University there are 35 percent students from health sciences out of 18 thousand students from 10 faculties, and his party also has plans to open a medical faculty. It is hoped that this collaboration will be beneficial for both parties. Universities certainly cannot grow alone, they must collaborate with other universities and the industrial world.
