With the addition of 12 Professors who will be inaugurated today, there are now a total of 230 Professors at Udayana University.

"I believe that this figure will continue to increase in the future. This belief is also strengthened by data held by the Human Resources Department, where there are 232 teaching staff who have doctoral degrees with the functional position of Associate Professor, and 238 people with the functional position of Lector. By percentage of Associate Professor is quite large, meaning there is great potential to increase the number of Professors at Udayana University. Hopefully today's inauguration of Professors can inspire other academics to immediately fight for the functional position of Professor," said the Rector of Unud.

He hopes that the twelve Professors who were inaugurated will be able to contribute to providing greater benefits for Udayana University and society and will be able to protect and provide solutions to problems that arise in society through their knowledge in order to advance this nation and state. It is also hoped that the newly inaugurated Professors can provide motivation to their colleagues, so that in the future they will be inspired and able to achieve the achievements that the Professors are currently achieving.

Meanwhile, Chair of the Unud Professors Forum, Prof. Ketut Suastika in his speech said that looking at the percentage and experience, he believes that knowledge has been mastered well, experience, skill and skills are sufficient to become a professor. The Chair of the Professors' Forum reminded again that the challenges ahead are not easy, today's students have different characters and have their own needs and desires for the future so it is not easy to understand them as well as in the educational process. The learning approach at the University must be adapted to the needs of today's society, no longer being able to use old concepts. Then there are challenges from outside, namely technology that is rapidly developing and the power of the media is quite large.

"Hopefully the new professors can contribute to creating people who can adapt in the future and contribute to Indonesia's progress, especially in welcoming a Golden Indonesia in 2045," said Prof. Suastika.
