Indonesian independence is the fruit of a movement towards one common goal. Likewise, with the goal of advancing education and culture, we must fight for it together with a spirit of mutual cooperation. In the last five years, we have all fought in the Independent Learning movement. We are making big changes in many things, starting from systems, ways of working, to mindsets. We have faced various challenges and difficulties together, and we are also experiencing the sweet fruits of that struggle together now.
The Freedom to Learn Movement is just the starting point, it is still far from perfect, we have not yet reached the finish line, and the journey ahead will of course still have many challenges. Like Bung Karno's message that we continue to fulfill Indonesia's independence, let us continue the struggle to advance Indonesian education and culture. For this reason, let's continue to strengthen our determination and struggle to take Indonesia into the future.
Rector of Unud Prof. Ngakan Suardana on this occasion wished the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, wishing Indonesia more progress, more glory and shouting the word Merdeka which was followed by the ceremony participants. The Rector also congratulated the recipients of the Satya Lencana Karya Satya decoration and hoped that this could improve our performance in building Udayana University. The Rector also invited the entire academic community to fill this independence with positive things to advance our country, work honestly, work correctly and students to always improve their competence, innovation and creativity to fill their independence. The fighters have shed their blood for independence and we must achieve independence where 2045 is the golden year and we must become a great country that is always respected.
