The Rector of Udayana University and the Central Monitoring and Evaluation Team Directly Observe the Implementation of UTBK SNBT 2024 First Day at Udayana University
Udayana University (Unud) is one of the centers implementing the Computer-Based Written Examination for the National Selection Test (UTBK SNBT) for New Student Admissions in 2024. UTBK SNBT at Unud takes place over four days, namely April 30, May 2, 3 and 4 2024 . The number of UTBK participants was 5,029 people, divided into 7 exam sessions. The UTBK implementation locations are spread across computer labs on the Denpasar Campus and Jimbaran Campus.
The material tested in UTBK includes the Scholastic Potential Test (TPS), Literacy in Indonesian, Literacy in English and Mathematical Reasoning. In implementing the UTBK SNBT, participants are required to see the exam location the day before the implementation, bring their UTBK 2024 Participant Identification Card, bring the requested official documents, occupy a seat according to their respective table number and write the participant's name and number on the opaque paper provided and sign it.
While taking UTBK participants are prohibited from leaving the exam room during the exam; carry communication devices, cameras, recording devices, calculators, notes, etc.; talk, borrow stationery, etc. during the exam; and note down, record, photograph the questions being tested. Before entering the room, participants were also checked using a metal detector by the committee to prevent cheating.
There is a new provision in the 2024 SNBT where participants who are declared to have passed the 2024 SNBT pathway and have re-registered or registered at their intended PTN cannot be accepted for the Independent Pathway selection at any PTN.
Rector of Unud Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana together with the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at Unud Prof. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja also had the opportunity to directly monitor the implementation of UTBK on the first day, Tuesday (30/4/2024). The implementation of UTBK SNBT at Udayana University was also monitored directly by the Central Committee, namely Prof. Arif Djunaidy who was accompanied by the Chair of LP3M Unud.
In this direct monitoring, the Rector and Vice Rector coordinate with room supervisors and technicians regarding the attendance of participants taking the exam, internet connection, and obstacles faced in carrying out the exam. The Rector really hopes that this year's exams will run well and smoothly.
There was an electrical problem in one of the buildings at the UTBK location on the Sudirman Campus, but with support from PLN officers, this could be resolved before the exam started. Of the 1,540 participants registered for session 1 and session 2 on the first day, 91 people did not attend the two sessions. This shows that the participant attendance rate reached 94 percent. The results of monitoring in the field in general, the implementation of UTBK SNBT 2024 at Udayana University went smoothly.
