Community Service, LPPM Unud Distributes Hand Sanitizers and Disinfectants to Various Villages in Bali

Jimbaran - Udayana University, through the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), has participated in helping the government and the community to prevent the spread of Covid-19, one of which is by distributing hand sanitizers and disinfectants to various villages in Bali Province.

The Rector of Udayana University symbolically handed over hand sanitizers and disinfectants to three village heads, Friday (4/9/2020) at the Rectorate Building, Bukit Jimbaran Campus. The handover of hand sanitizers and disinfectants is a community service activity as part of the 58th Anniversary of Udayana University, as well as a continuation of the Real Work Lecture (KKN) which ended on 23 August 2020.
 
Head of LPPM Unud Prof. I Gde Rai Maya Temaja conveyed that as many as 1,700 bottles of hand sanitizer in 1.5 liter packs, 850 bottles of 1 liter packs of hand sanitizers, and 170 bottles of 20 liter packs of disinfectant were distributed to various villages in Bali Province. "Udayana University is very concerned with the efforts to mitigate Covid-19. This hand sanitizer is the production of Udayana University itself, the formula is made in the Forensic Laboratory by a team from the Pharmacy Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. This is what we donate and distribute to society, "explained Prof. Rai. During the Covid-19 pandemic, hand sanitizers are mandatory for use after the hands touch objects that may have the virus attached. The content in hand sanitizers is considered capable of killing germs, bacteria and viruses, so that it is now a basic necessity for the community.

Udayana University through LPPM has initiated the implementation of Real Work Lectures (KKN) by sending 3,857 students as volunteers to socialize health protocol education to villages. This activity with the theme of the Covid-19 Tangguh Traditional Village was held July 11 to. 23 August 2020 by implementing village assistance in the face of a pandemic. The implementation of the Community Service Program yesterday was also able to provide education so that people are always disciplined in implementing health protocols, so that we can prevent the spread of Covid-19 together, "he explained.

On this occasion, the Chancellor of Udayana University also handed over multivitamins and literature to the stakeholders at the pretenders within Udayana University, namely Pura Dalem Balembong on the Bukit Campus, Pura Widya Maha Amerta, Sudirman Campus, and Pura Maha Widya Saraswati on the Bukit Campus and also releasing the team that will distribute assistance with hand sanitizers and disinfectants to the villages. This activity was also attended by the Deputy Chancellors and Heads of Bureaus as well as the Udayana University's 58th Anniversary Committee.
