UNUD SENDS HEALTH VOLUNTEER TEAM TO HELP DISASTER VICTIMS IN PALU
Denpasar - As a manifestation of Udayana University's concern for victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Central Sulawesi, Unudirim Health Volunteer Team of FK Unud-LP2M Unud and Bali Police consisted of Specialist Doctors, Orthopedic Residents and Traumatologists, Resident Doctor Obgin and Central Sulawesi Physiotherapists to carry out humanitarian tasks in Palu, Monday (8/10). The team was released by the Dean of the Medical Faculty of Udayana University, Ketut Suyasa in the Lobby of the Medical Faculty Unud Sudirman Campus Denpasar.
The Unud Volunteer Team arrived in Palu (10/10) to provide relief to disaster victims. The team from FK Unud led by dr. IGL N Artha Wiguna, SpOT (K), as soon as they arrived in Palu, they received guidance and division of tasks and immediately carried out operations. The team also brought assistance in the form of medical devices to deal with injured victims. The Medical Rehabilitation Installation of the Undata Regional General Hospital became the basecamp of the FK Unud volunteer team. The team began the treatment of orthopedic patients and obgyn visits to tents established at Undata Hospital, (11/10). (HM)
