Bali Scholarship Expo 2018, Student Motivation To Grab Scholarship
Denpasar - Tuesday, (5/6/2018), located at Nusantara Room Agrokompleks Building, Campus Sudirman Denpasar, Student Executive Board of Udayana University Student (BEM PM Unud) in cooperation with Mata Garuda Bali organizes Bali Scholarship Expo (BASE) 2018 with theme "Break The Limit Through Education" The event was attended by 200 participants opened by Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Dr.Ir. I Made Sudarma, MS., MA (The Youngest Woman of Proclaimer of RI, Mohammad Hatta), followed by Dr. Ida Bagus Putera Parthama (Director General of Watershed Control and Protection Forest) and Ratna Prabandari (Head of Monitoring and Evaluation Division of LPDP) with moderator I Made Andi Arsana, Ph.D (Head of UGM International Affairs Office).
Chairman of the Committee, Princess Yamayanti conveyed the theme of "Break The Limit Through Education" is expected to motivate special students in Bali in continuing higher education facilitated through scholarships. The series of events consisted of talkshows, an expo scholarship consisting of 14 Scholarships and 13 International Universities followed by a seminar with Swedish Deputy Ambassador. Daughter Yamayanti hopes that through this activity can motivate young generation to continue higher education and get scholarship information from universities all over the world.
Vice President BEM PM Unud, A.A. Gede Agung Indrayuda gives appreciation to the parties who have contributed in organizing this event, considering it is very important for students who want to get information about scholarship to continue their education.
Chairman of Mata Garuda Bali, Ida Bagus Mandhara Brasika said there are about 18,000 LPDP scholarship recipients from all over Indonesia and from that number, for the year 2017 only about 259 people coming from Bali, for 2018 has reached 300 recipients, and who have completed education about 30 scholarship recipients. Through this activity is expected to motivate and increase the number of LPDP scholarship recipients especially from Bali.
Vice Rector for Student Affairs Unud, Prof. Dr.Ir. I Made Sudarma, MS in his speech shared life experiences related to scholarships in his education to achieve the Professor. It is expected to motivate students to continue their education through the scholarship path. (HM)
