Clothing Hospital Type-C, Unud Hospital Open Four Main Poly

Jimbaran - Udayana University Rector officially opens the operation of Udayana University Hospital (RS Unud) as a Type-C Hospital, Friday (20/04/2018). The inauguration was attended by representatives of Bali Provincial Health Office, Badung District Health Office, South Kuta District Head, Faculty Dean, IDI Representative and representatives of several Jejaring Hospital.

In his speech, Director of Unud Hospital, Dr. dr. Dewa Putu Gde Purwa Samatra, Sp.S (K) conveyed the mandate of the Medical Education Act, every Faculty of Medicine is expected to have the Hospital as a vehicle for professional education. In its development, the Unud Hospital initially only operated as a major polyclinic, then increased with specialist polyclinic, until in 2018 it achieved the status of a Type-C Hospital. As RS Type-C, health services provided include four major services namely (1) Internal Disease; (2) Children's Health; (3) Obstetrics-Gynecology and (4) Surgery. Besides, RS-Unud currently conducts outpatient services for several other specialist areas.

By prioritizing professionalism in advancing the institution, Unud Hospital is expected to become Accredited Hospital by the Ministry of Health and further accredited to be Education Hospital, so as to provide health services by promoting Superior, Mandiri and Cultured Human Resources, and producing professionals in the health field.

On the same occasion, Rector of Unud, Prof. Dr. dr. A A. Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K) conveyed that Udayana University as an educational institution that has Faculty of Medicine is expected to have Hospital of Education as education facility of health worker, specially doctor education and dentist education. Therefore Udayana University has a hospital as a Polyclinic development that has existed since the first. As the hospital which will become the place of education, the University strongly supports the operational activities of Unud Hospital, which not only serves as the Education Hospital but it is also hoped to be the center of research and community service, especially the health service for the people around the hospital, especially the people of Badung Selatan. The Rector also requested the support of Badung Regency, Sub-district and South Badung communities to provide support so that RSU Unud can berooerasi as expected. (HM)
