IMPROVING QUALITY OF HUMAN RESOURCES, 100 SCHOLARSHIP IS OFFERED BY BANK INDONESIA
Denpasar - Udayana University and Bank Indonesia signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) awarding of BI Scholarship to Udayana University Students. The event was coincided with Jumpa Perdana Bank Indonesia Scholarship Recipient Year 2018, Monday (19/03/2018) in Room Tirta Empul Bank Indonesia Denpasar Building. On the same occasion were also the signing of PKS between BI and Ganesha University of Education, Singaraja. The event were attended by Tutik Kusumawardhani and I Gusti Agung Rai Wirajaya who is a Member of Commission XI of the House of Representatives and Representatives of the Communication Department of Bank Indonesia Head Office Jakarta.
Head of Bank Indonesia Provincial Office of Bali, Causa Imam Karana conveyed Bank Indonesia through Bank Indonesia Social Program (PSBI) seeks to play an active role in improving the future quality of Indonesian human resources with a scholarship program for students. The distribution of the scholarship program in Bali has been started since 2003. In 2018 the scholarship program is awarded to 100 regular undergraduate (S1) students at two Universitas Negeri collaborating partners, Udayana University and Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. Scholarship disbursement will be conducted in two stages: first semester in April and second semester in October. Through this scholarship is expected to increase the motivation to learn as well as ensure the continuity of student studies and turn the hope for students who have academic achievement to be able to go through and finish higher education.

Rector of Unud, Prof. Dr. dr. A A. Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K) gave appreciation to Bank Indonesia which has given scholarship to Udayana University students. The Rector hopes that the scholarship can be beneficial for the students as well as improve the spirit and motivation of students in completing their education. The same thing was also conveyed by Rector of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha and hoped that this scholarship could be implemented continuously. (PR)
