DELEGASI 'EAS' VISIT PLASTIC WASTE ASPALT ROAD IN UNUD

Bukit Jimbaran - Udayana University welcomed delegations from 15 countries attending the East Asia Summit (EAS) Conference on Combating Marine Plastic Debris on Thursday (07/09/2017) at Bukit Jimbaran Campus. The East Asia Summit (EAS) Conference on Combating Marine Plastic Debris is one of the activities organized by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. One of its activities was to visit the field in order to review the pilot application of the mixture of plastic asphalt that is (what has been) tested around the street of Rectorate Building Unud.

Participants conducted a road trip to the location located on the west side of the Unud Rectorate building that facilitated by staff from the PUPR Ministry who explained the application of the plastic waste asphalt mixture on the road. The entourage briefly walked along the plastic waste pilot road while hearing the explanation from the staff of the Ministry of PUPR.

After looking around, the delegation of 15 countries were received by the Vice Rector of Planning, Cooperation and Information Unud in National Space Rectorate Building Bukit Jimbaran Campus. In his speech, Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. Dr. Dr. Ida Bagus Wyasa Putra, SH., M.Hum delivered a welcome greeting to Udayana University to Delegation. Further Prof. Ida Bagus Wyasa Putra introduced a glimpse of Udayana University and expressed his appreciation for the visit of Delegation of 15 States. The delegation also got the presentation of Professor from University Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Nyoman Arya Tanaya related to the application of plastic mixture on road asphalt. (PR)
