Signing Ceremony of the MoU between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and University of Udayana
On Friday, February 17th, 2017, Dr. Siswo Pramono, LL.M., Director General of the Policy Analysis And Development Agency (Indonesian: BPPK), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the BPPK with University of Udayana. At that ceremony, the Rector of Udayana was represented by Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information Affairs, Prof. Drs. I Made Suastra, PhD.
On the same occasion, the Director General of BPPK also delivered a public lecture with the theme of "Measuring Economic Cooperation in the Indian Ocean Rim: An Illustrated Sketch about Regional Architecture". The public lecture was attended by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information Affairs of Udayana University, Deans of Faculties, as well as all the students of Social and Political Science, Faculty of Law and Faculty of Economics and Business. Interactive discussion session had well conducted by a variety of responses from students.
Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information Affairs of Udayana University expressed his appreciation for the cooperation between the Udayana University and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that has been established for a long time, now reinforced by the establishment of the MoU. Prof. Drs. I Made Suastra, PhD also expressed the hope that the MoU with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs may be one of the way of internationalization that has been conducted by the University of Udayana, including the development of Edu-tourism. Subsequently, The Director General of BPPK also emphasizes the importance of cooperation forged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Higher Education such as Udayana University as one of the channels for the government to involve the academic community in the formulation of high quality and inclusive of foreign policy.(PR)
