Doctoral Program in Law, Faculty of Law, Udayana University Visited by BAN-PT Assessor Team for Accreditation

Denpasar - Field assessment of the Doctoral Program in Law, Faculty of Law, Udayana University (Unud) by the Assessor of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), April 27-29, 2025. The opening of the assessment took place in the Hall of the Faculty of Law, Denpasar Campus, Monday (4/28/2025). Present at the opening were the Rector and Vice Rectors, Heads of Institutions, Deans of the Faculty of Law and Staff along with Study Program Coordinators and Taskforce Teams, Professors, Lecturers, Students, Alumni and stakeholders. The BAN-PT Assessor Team present were Prof. Dr. Angkasa, SH., M.Hum and Prof. Dr. Husen Alting, SH., MH and Tri Sumarni as the assistant to the Assessor from BAN-PT.

Rector of Unud Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, ST., Ph.D in his speech gave a brief overview of Udayana University's profile and currently manages 132 study programs from Diploma, Profession to Doctoral levels. In the Faculty of Law itself, there are four study programs and three of them have achieved the Excellent accreditation predicate. The Rector hopes that through this accreditation process and the results of the Legal Science Doctoral Study Program Assessor Team's photography to achieve the Excellent predicate, so that the Faculty of Law becomes one of the faculties whose entire study programs are accredited Excellent. This is expected to be an inspiration for study programs in other faculties to increase their recognition at the national level which in this case is portrayed by the BAN-PT accreditation institution.

"This is a form of our accountability in the institution as an education provider to the community, where the community entrusts their trust to study at Udayana University," said the Rector of Unud.

The Rector hopes that this will be an inspiration for other faculties to improve their accreditation. In addition, Udayana University will soon be re-accredited in 2026, and this is also part of supporting the maintenance of our institution's accreditation, namely Unggul accreditation. In this assessment process, the Rector also hopes that the assessors can take an objective picture and provide direction if there are things that need to be implemented in improving the learning process, the education process in the Doctoral Program in Law. The Rector also asked the Task Force Team to provide the data needed by the Assessor Team.

Meanwhile, the representative of the assessor, Prof. Dr. Angkasa, SH., M.Hum, expressed his gratitude for the acceptance from Udayana University and the Rector's presence at the opening ceremony. Furthermore, the assessor said that crucial things had been passed and now his party would validate. Cooperation is expected in the data collection process in this assessment. His party as a team from external quality assurance and an internal quality assurance team has certainly been able to prepare accreditation instruments well considering that three study programs have achieved superior predicates.
