Rector of Udayana University Attends the Launch of Digital Television Broadcasts at Turyapada Tower KBS 6.0 Kerti Bali

Singaraja, Buleleng – Rector of Udayana University (Unud), Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana, together with the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. I Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, attended the launch of digital television broadcasts which took place at Turyapada Tower KBS 6.0 Kerti Bali, Pegayaman Village, Singaraja, Buleleng Regency, on Friday, April 18 2025.

This activity is part of the digital transformation program in the broadcasting sector initiated by the Bali Provincial Government which aims to improve the quality of television broadcasts throughout the Bali region. The presence of Turyapada Tower as strategic infrastructure in the communications and information sector is expected to strengthen the digital broadcast network, especially in the northern and western regions of Bali which are still facing challenges in signal reception.

In his speech, the Governor of Bali, I Wayan Koster appreciated Udayana University for involving the Feasibility Study Expert Team for the construction of this tower, including the final design which involved nine lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University in designing the construction of the Turyapada Tower KBS 6.0 Kerthi Bali.

It is hoped that Turyapada Tower will not just be a magnificent building, but a symbol of technological progress and the commitment of the Bali Provincial government to provide quality and modern information services for the people of Bali. Turyapada Tower is 115 meters high, at an altitude of 1,521 meters above sea level, so the total height of this tower is 1,636 meters.

Prof. Sudarsana on this occasion expressed his appreciation for the steps taken by the Bali Provincial government in encouraging the digitalization of broadcasting. "This is a concrete form of the Bali Provincial Government's commitment to providing equitable and quality information services for all Balinese people," he said.
