BAPOMI Bali Holds Meeting at Udayana University, Discusses Selection of Candidates for POMNAS XIX Central Java Athletes
Jimbaran - The Indonesian Student Sports Supervisory Board (BAPOMI) of Bali Province held the First Meeting for the Selection of Candidates for POMNAS XIX Central Java 2025 Athletes at the Bangsa Room, Udayana University (Unud) Rectorate Building, Jimbaran Campus, Friday (7/3/2025). The meeting was attended by leaders or representatives of PTN/PTS throughout Bali who are members of BAPOMI Bali. This meeting was in order to follow up on the Letter from the General Chairperson of BAPOMI Central Java Province regarding the Registration Stages for POMNAS XIX Central Java.
The General Chairperson of BAPOMI Bali Prof. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya in his remarks said that POMNAS is one of the events to foster and see student achievements in the field of sports, which this year is the XIX which will take place in Central Java. Where the locations will be in Semarang and Surakarta.
"Speaking of POMNAS, we are massive due to the efficiency that has a big impact on state universities and also the transfer from Puspresnas to Belmawa. However, let's prepare for POMNAS which is planned for 19 to 27 September 2025, where there are 17 sports that have been decided that will be competed in POMNAS this year," said the General Chairperson of BAPOMI Bali.
The selection process from each university has been carried out and there have also been recommendations from KONI so that at this time it will be determined how many athletes or which ones will be followed, and also see which athletes have achieved and the availability of funds at BAPOMI. His party also hopes that later there will be sponsors who can help fund so that they can send athletes according to our expectations.
Head of the XIX Bali POMNAS Contingent Dr. A.A.A Ngurah Tini Rusmini Gorda conveyed the progress related to the preparation of POMNAS and also the design that must be prepared in participating in the XIX POMNAS in Central Java. The commitment from the General Chairperson that the contribution fund will be the main support for the implementation of this activity to be successful, then support from universities to support student achievements. There are 22 active universities that are members of BAPOMI Bali.
He invited everyone to support each other because this year's activity is an activity that requires cooperation and collaboration. The steps that have been taken are an audience with KONI Bali so that there is no conflict between the POMNAS schedule and Porprov which will have an impact on athletes. In this meeting, students who have registered to participate in 17 sports at the XIX Central Java POMNAS will be selected which prioritizes the principle of equality.
In the meeting, confirmation was made to each university regarding the athletes who will participate in the XIX POMNAS event in Central Java.
