Udayana University Hosts National Coordinator Meeting of ASEA UNINET 2025
Udayana University (Unud) was appointed as the host of the ASEA UNINET Plenary Meeting - National Coordinator Meeting of ASEA UNINET 2025 which was held for 2 days, namely from 10-11 February 2025. This plenary meeting took place at the Udayana University Rectorate Building which was attended by the President of ASEA UNINET, Prof. Roberto Ranzi, Ph.D., Vice President and Regional Coordinator for Europe, Prof.Dr. Wolfgang Obenaus, Vice President and Regional Coordinator for Southeast Asia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Farizal bin Rajemi, Coordinator for Technology, Innovation and Sustainability Projects for Europe, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. A Min Tjoa, Technology, Innovation and Sustainability Project Coordinator for Southeast Asia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Chi Trung as well as National Coordinator and Member of ASEA UNINET.
Also present at the opening event was the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja, Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Prof. Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya, Ph.D and team.
Rector of Udayana University, Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana, Ph.D was present and gave a speech at the opening ceremony which was held in the Nusa Room on Monday (10/2/2025). In his speech, the Rector of Unud said that Udayana University was honored to host this important ASEA UNINET National Coordinator Meeting. The Rector said that Udayana University was very enthusiastic about the discussions, ideas and opportunities that would emerge from this meeting, and hoped to further deepen the partnership in the years to come.
Meanwhile, the President of ASEA UNINET, Prof. Roberto Ranzi, Ph.D., also had the opportunity to give a speech at the opening ceremony of the ASEA UNINET Plenary Meeting. In his speech, Prof. Ranzi expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome given by Udayana University as the host of the event.
Prof. Ranzi really appreciated the hospitality and support from Udayana University in holding this meeting. The hope is that this meeting will be an important moment for all of us to strengthen academic and research cooperation between member countries.
The ASEA UNINET Plenary Meeting is a routine agenda that brings together academics and leaders of higher education institutions from various countries to discuss cooperation in the fields of research, education and innovation. It is hoped that this event can strengthen collaboration between universities in the ASEA UNINET network, especially in facing global challenges in the academic world.
After the opening ceremony, the activity continued with the ASEA UNINET Meeting led by the President of ASEA UNINET and attended by all National Coordinators and Members present.
Udayana University is one of the state universities in Bali which began joining ASEA UNINET on July 14 2014. The benefits for Udayana University from participating in membership of ASEA-UNINET (ASEAN-European Academic University Network) provide various benefits for the university, both at the academic, research and human resource development levels.
