This activity was opened directly by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, in his speech, said that the MBKM Program is actually a transformative movement that helps prepare students to become adaptive, creative and competitive graduates. Through this program, students have been given the opportunity to develop competencies outside of campus during the semester period, either through internships, research, entrepreneurship, student exchanges, or humanitarian projects. As stated in Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 3 of 2020, MBKM is not just a policy, but a new breath to create a golden generation that is ready to answer global challenges in accordance with the vision of Udayana University.
Data from the MBKM Unit shows that only a small number of students take part in learning programs outside the study program both within Unud and outside Unud, weak data collection on entrepreneurial students and several things that need improvement so that MBKM management coordination can be better in the future. The success of MBKM will contribute directly to the achievement of Udayana University's Main Performance Indicators (IKU), especially the 2nd IKU regarding student experiences outside campus.
"We support the implementation of MBKM activities in this period independently while waiting for developments from the Ministry because we are aware of the high contribution of this program not only to increasing student competence, but also strengthening the reputation of Udayana University," said the Vice Rector.
He further stated that MBKM is an investment for the future so its management must be carried out well so that the impact is also good. He hopes that all related units will make this collaboration the first step to produce Udayana University graduates who are superior, have character and are ready to compete at the global level.
