BIPAS Spring Program 2025, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, Participated by 56 Students from 9 Countries in the World
Denpasar - Opening Ceremony & Orientation Day Bali International Program On Asian Studies (BIPAS) Spring Program 2025 Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University (Unud) took place in the Widya Sabha Mandala Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra Room, Faculty of Humanities Campus, Denpasar, Monday (3/2/2025). This activity was opened by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs representing the Rector of Unud.
BIPAS Program Coordinator, Faculty of Humanities, Unud, I Made Sena Darmasetiyawan, Ph.D, in his report said that through good coordination with the Asia Exchange team, his party had accepted 56 students from 9 countries in the world, such as Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Romania, Sweden and Switzerland. Lectures for this semester will officially start on February 3 and end on May 23 2025. There are 14 courses offered by this program, where students can choose courses with only one mandatory Indonesian language course.
"From BIPAS, we usually hold workshops and excursions during the semester which are considered mandatory activities for students. Usually in one semester we also have several classes which carry out their own excursions by lecturers so they can deepen their understanding of certain subjects, so we hope to see activities like that again," he said.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Unud, I Nyoman Aryawibawa, Ph.D, in his speech introduced a glimpse of the Faculty of Humanities and BIPAS, which is one of the international programs at Udayana University which is managed by the Faculty of Humanities. While participating in this program, students will be guided by lecturers, the BIPAS Team, and Asia Exchange representatives who are dedicated to this program as well as the entire community who will support them while studying at Udayana University. The Dean also encouraged BIPAS students to explore the island of Bali while they were here and see existing traditions in the hope of enriching their academic experience.
Chief Representative Officer of Asiaboard, Mr. Hannes Borgwardt said that this collaboration between Asia Exchange and Udayana University is expected to not only provide benefits for both parties but also for international students to increase their experience. Learning at Udayana University will of course be different but will be very enjoyable. He advised BIPAS program participants to be respectful towards fellow students.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Unud Prof. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja in his speech said that Udayana University is very proud to have an international program such as BIPAS which has opened up opportunities for international students to experience the academic atmosphere at Udayana University, especially in the fields of tourism, economics and business, law, entrepreneurship, communication, sociology, and culture. BIPAS is one of the most favorite international study programs featuring lecturers with diverse international backgrounds whose quality cannot be doubted in their fields.
"The international program at Udayana University, including BIPAS, is at the forefront which allows us to interact directly with global academics, including international students," said the Vice Rector.
The Vice Rector also said that Udayana University is committed to providing the best quality of learning and service and hopes that studying at BIPAS will be productive, successful and an unforgettable experience. He also expressed his gratitude to Asia Exchange for the collaboration so far and hopes that this collaboration will become stronger and more sustainable.
