The signing of the MoU took place at the Bali Province DPD HPJI Regional Working Meeting and National Seminar in the context of Road Day 2024 with the theme "Increasing the Professionalism of Bali Province HPJI Human Resources to Create Quality, Connected and Integrated Transportation Infrastructure" at the Main Meeting Room of the Bali Province PUPRKIM Service, Friday (20/12/2024).
Committee Chair Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Adnyana in his report said that this activity was an important moment to evaluate the performance that has been carried out so far and formulate the next work plan.
Secretary of DPD HPJI Bali Ir. Ida Bagus Nyoman Sudewa, M.T. In his speech he said that HPJI is a fairly old professional organization which has a particular role in the development of transportation, roads and bridges including tunnels. HPJI has also prepared professional staff much earlier through serious training and provision as well as providing members with opportunities to take part in international conference activities.
It was further stated that the output from the world of education is not immediately ready for work, this must be facilitated by HPJI so that it is ready for the world of work where there is a world of business and industry. This is a program priority at DPD HPJI Bali.
General Chairperson of the HPJI DPP Dr. Ir. Hedy Rahadian, M.Sc, in his speech expressed his gratitude for the involvement of academics and the re-activity of HPJI Bali. The HPJI context is now important because it is a platform for gathering and chatting with academics and local governments. His party feels proud to be able to collaborate with academics and hopes that the collaboration that is established can both improve the quality of road network performance.
Meanwhile the Rector of Unud, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, ST., Ph.D in his speech expressed his pride in being able to collaborate with HPJI practitioners, where the role of universities is to implement the Tridharma of Higher Education, one of which is carrying out research. HPJI related to this road is complex and multidisciplinary research so collaboration between various scientific disciplines is really needed to move forward. Academics will try to convey strategies that practitioners can apply.
As an educational institution, Udayana University is always open to matters relating to research or other activities. The Rector invited us to collaborate, work together to convey ideas on solving problems faced in Bali and Indonesia.
