Udayana University Receives Visit from Timor Leste Government Delegation
Jimbaran - Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information at Udayana University (Unud) Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika received a visit from a delegation from the Timor Leste Government at the Jimbaran Campus Rectorate Building, Tuesday (8/10/2024).
The delegates who attended were Fauto Freitas da Silva as Commissioner of the National Civil Service Agency - Timor Leste (Head of the Delegation Team), Belarmino Filomeno Neves as Senior Professional - SKFP (Team Coordinator), Lorenca Olandina da Silva as Head of INAP Research, Mafaldo Lopes Victor Coordinator Law from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Culture TL, Jose Maria Goncalves (Assistant Education Attaché Timor Leste - Bali) and Ni Kadek Milos Sari Andriani (Admin Staff Assistant TL Attaché - Bali).
The Commissioner of the State Civil Service Agency - Timor Leste as head of the delegation delivered this visit to Unud regarding cooperation plans to increase knowledge, abilities and skills in various vehicles and fields so as to be able to provide better and better quality services for the people of Timor Leste in improving their quality of life.
This visit is also to explore information from Udayana University and through discussions can obtain information to determine the direction and focus of both formal and non-formal education for employees in improving their skills and abilities in providing the best service towards a prosperous future. The Government of Timor Leste needs cooperation with the Government of Indonesia through universities, academic institutions, education and training centers in Indonesia that are relevant and competent to foster cooperation in terms of building and improving the capabilities and skills of employees in Timor Leste.
Vice Rector Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika on this occasion said that Udayana University has had various collaborations with Timor Leste, one of which is with the Ministry of Defense regarding the implementation of training. He welcomed this human resource development collaboration if the coordination was with the Timor Leste government so that everyone who attended education at Unud could be immediately approved by the Timor Leste government because of course the data was already with the Education Attaché.
This could be a door to simplifying the collaboration process for both parties. Through this meeting, it is hoped that there will be a common perception regarding cooperation in the field of education and there will be a mechanism that can be agreed upon.
