Udayana University Received a Visit from the Leadership of Lancang Kuning University
Denpasar - Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja, MP., IPU representing the Rector of Udayana University (Unud) together with the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and staff received a visit from the leadership of Lancang Kuning University (Unilak) consisting of the Rector, Vice Rector II, Dean of the Postgraduate School and Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Postgraduate Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Thursday (28/11/2024). Lancang Kuning University or Unilak is a private university under the Raja Ali Haji Education Foundation which is located in the heart of Pekanbaru City, Riau Province.
Vice Rector Prof. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja, in his speech expressed his gratitude for the visit of the Rector of Unilak and his staff and for being one of Udayana University's partners in implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education in terms of education, research and community service. His party is very open in establishing cooperation in the Tridharma field. The Vice Rector hopes that future cooperation can be developed, which previously existed with the Faculty of Cultural Sciences and now with the Faculty of Agriculture.
Rector of Unilak Prof. Dr. Junaidi, SS., M.Hum said that the visit to Unud was in order to develop cooperation and one of them was related to sending lecturers to take part in education, especially lecturers at the Faculty of Agriculture who were given tuition assistance by the university. His party also invited lecturers from Unud to come to Unilak to hold seminars and public lectures.
It was further stated that Unilak is a private university which has approximately 10 thousand students, has 38 study programs, initially only 21 and in the last 2 years many new study programs have been opened. His party really hopes for cooperation with Unud, especially with Postgraduate Studies. Unilak also needs support from Unud, especially in sharing experiences and knowledge, and in the field of publications. In the future, there are opportunities for collaboration that can be explored, namely with the Doctor of Law Sciences. The Rector hopes that cooperation can be expanded to other fields.
During the meeting there was also a technical discussion of cooperation between Unilak and the Faculty of Agriculture, guided directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Unud.
