Udayana University International Affairs Office Holds the 4th International Education and Culture Festival
The International Affairs Office (KUI) of Udayana University (Unud) held the 4th Udayana University International Education and Culture Festival in 2024 at the Nusantara Room, Agrokomplek Building, Unud Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Friday (22/11/24). This activity was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. Dr. Dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, M. Kes. and was also attended by the Consul General of Australia, Consul General of the People's Republic of China, Vice Consul of Japan, representatives of the Consul General of India, representatives of the Consul General of Timor Leste, British Embassy, Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI) Unud, IDP Bali, Indonesia Britain Education Centre (IBEC ), Naresy International Education Consultant (NIEC), American-Indonesian Exchange Foundation (AMINEF), Bali Japan Club, IBSN, Let's Learn, Bina Ilmu Foundation, Surabaya French Campus, as well as other invitations.
Coordinator of KUI Unud Putu Ayu Asty Senja Pratiwi, Ph.D on this occasion felt very honored to host this annual festival for the fourth year in a row as an ongoing annual agenda. By improving education, culture, human resources and social cooperation with consuls as representatives of each country, partners and sponsors, Udayana University hopes to foster good and cooperative international relations through this annual event. He also hopes that this event will improve Udayana University's relations with Honorary Consuls and other partners, create new collaboration opportunities, and provide more opportunities for students and teaching staff to study and research with universities abroad.
On the first day of this activity there were seven presentations from award recipients IISMA, IBEC, NIEC, British Embassy, Consulate General of India, AMINEF, and Campus France. A lot of information about studying and life abroad will be provided to students, along with information about scholarship opportunities and how to apply. Apart from presentations, students can visit each partner's stand to hear and obtain additional information about studying abroad.
Meanwhile on the second day, there were cultural performances ranging from singing, dancing, fashion shows, martial arts from international students in the IBSN Program, Go Study Social Anthropology Program, BIPA, Darmasiswa, Student Exchange and also with the support of partners namely the Consulate General of India, TCI , Yosakoi Club and also Unud. Apart from that, there are also culinary delights, a Chinese food buffet sponsored by TCI, sweets handmade by IBSN students, Indian sweets from the Indian Consulate General, Japanese snacks from the Bali Japan Club, Australian cakes from the Australian Consulate General and Korean dishes from the Bina Ilmu Foundation.
The KUI Coordinator hopes that through this event the collaboration between Udayana University and the Indonesian Consulate General and partners will become closer, various opportunities for collaboration will open up, more students and lecturers at Udayana University will have the opportunity to study and carry out research collaborations with universities abroad.
Meanwhile, Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information at Udayana University, Prof. Adiatmika in his speech said that Udayana University was committed to producing graduates in accordance with the university's vision, namely Excellent, Independent and Cultured. Udayana University has been recognized for its competence at national and international levels, with Superior accreditation by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education and a 3 Star award from the QS star ranking at international level. Udayana University has a goal of achieving World Class University. Various internationalization programs have been and will be organized by Udayana University to achieve this goal, including this event.
Through this event, Udayana University intends to improve friendly and cooperative international relations by strengthening education, culture, human resources and social cooperation with consuls and honorary consuls as representatives of each country.
