Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Unud Holds FGD Preparing DPD RI's Views and Opinions Regarding the Bill on RPJPN for 2025-2045

Udayana University (Unud) through the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences in collaboration with Committee IV DPD RI held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in the context of preparing the views and opinions of DPD RI regarding the Bill on the National Long Term Development Plan (RPJPN) for 2025-2045 at Unud Bukit Jimbaran Campus Library Hall. Monday, (25/3/24).

This FGD was officially opened by the Vice Chair of Committee IV DPD RI Fernando Sinaga, S.Th., and also present were the Secretary and Members of Committee IV DPD RI, Assistant General Administration of the Regional Secretary of Bali Province, Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information Unud, Dean of the Faculty Social Sciences and Political Sciences, Study Program Coordinator, BEM, DPM and other invitees. This Focus Group Discussion presented speakers from Unud Academician Prof. Dr. Drs. I Gusti Putu Bagus Suka Arjawa, M.Sc., Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Unud Dr. Drs. I Nengah Punia, M.Si., and Chairman of the Bali Bappeda I Wayan Wiasthana Ika Putra, S.Sos., M.Si.

Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. Dr. Dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, M.Kes in his speech said that Committee IV DPD RI as one of the DPD RI organs in charge of state finances, has an important role in providing views and opinions on the 2025-2045 RPJPN Bill. This FGD is an important step in gathering input and suggestions from various parties in the regions to enrich the views and opinions of the DPD RI.

Udayana University appreciates this activity as a form of constructive interaction between the DPD and stakeholders in the region, which in this case is the Bali region. This shows that democracy in Indonesia has worked well in providing a forum for two-way discussions between the DPD as a legislative institution representing the region, and its constituents in the region. We, the University, would like to thank you for being trusted as the host of the discussion which will later be taken into consideration in the views and opinions of the DPD RI regarding the 2025-2045 RPJPN.

All regions in Indonesia must certainly move together to achieve the vision of the 2025-2045 RPJPN, namely Indonesia as a Sovereign, Advanced and Sustainable Archipelago or known as Golden Indonesia 2045. To achieve this vision together, the DPD has an important role in voicing and presenting the spirit mutual cooperation for development throughout Indonesia. This FGD should be able to provide motivation for all of us to achieve the vision of a golden Indonesia through public participation, namely interaction between stakeholders in the regions and their representatives in the DPD RI.

Meanwhile, Vice Chair of Committee IV DPD RI Fernando Sinaga, S.Th, in this case said that the Draft RPJPN 2025-2045 is really needed to become the legal basis for preparing the vision, mission and development programs for the next 20 years. There are several objectives of this Focus Group Discussion activity, namely to obtain information regarding global, national and local challenges in the formulation and discussion of the Final Draft RPJPN 2025-2045, as well as providing input and suggestions regarding development planning to be more in line with regional aspirations and needs and discussing views. and DPD RI's opinion on the Final Draft RPJPN 2025-2045.

Apart from that, the expected output from the Committee IV FGD activities is identifying problems regarding the Final Draft RPJPN 2025-2045, getting input and suggestions regarding this RPJPN so that it is more in line with aspirations, regional needs and the characteristics of each region, and getting input in preparing views. and the opinion of the DPD RI regarding the 2025-2045 RPJPN Bill.
