Udayana University Holds Workshop on Understanding Gender Equality and Socialization of Counseling Service Procedures Counselors Academic Supervisors

The Student Affairs Bureau of Udayana University (Unud) in collaboration with the Counseling Unit held a Workshop on Understanding Gender Equality and Socialization of Counseling Service Procedures for Academic Supervisors, which took place on Thursday, September 22 2023 at the Dream of Aventus Hotel, Kuta.

Head of Counseling Unit Dra. Adijanti Marheni, M.Si., in her report said that the implementation of this workshop was motivated by problems related to sexual violence on campus in previous years. It is also said that every month there is one report of sexual violence.

Vice Rector for Student Affairs at Unud, Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, MT, Ph.D. IPU., ASEAN Eng., in his speech and opening the workshop, said that gender equality is very important, even on campus, so that it can be applied to every activity on campus and can be an example for all students.

This workshop presented a resource person from the Indonesian University of Education (UPI), Hani Yulindrasari, S.Psi., M.Psi, Ph.D, who on this occasion delivered material on Understanding Gender Equality in Campus Life.

The next session was filled with socialization of Udayana University Counseling Service Procedures delivered by Dra. Adijanti Marheni, M.S., Psychologist and Komang Rahayu Indrawati, S.Psi, M.Si Psychologist.
