To Improve PTN KPI, Udayana University Launches Three MBKM Programs

The Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Udayana University held a launching event for three independent campus programs (MBKM), namely MBKM Building Villages/Thematic Real Work Lectures, Independent Campus Research/Research Grants and Guidelines for the Book Writing Grant Program in 2022 which aims to help improve the Main Performance Indicators of State Universities (IKU PTN).

The three MBKM programs were launched directly by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja, M.P representing the Rector of Udayana University accompanied by the Chair of the LPPM of Udayana University Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suarsana, M.Si and also attended by the LPPM Secretary, Deans and Study Program Coordinators, in the Bangsa Room, Rectorate Building, Jimbaran Campus, Wednesday (20/04/2022).

In his remarks, the Head of LPPM Udayana University Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suarsana, M.Si said that with the presence of the Deans and Study Program Coordinators at Udayana University, his party wanted to socialize the form of guidelines and technical instructions from MBKM Building Villages/Thematic Real Work Lectures, Independent Campus Research/Research Grants and Book Writing Grant Program Guidelines. .

The three MBKM programs are open for 2022 and can be followed by students and lecturers. Registration for the MBKM program to Build Villages/Thematic Real Work Lectures, and Independent Campus Research/Research Grants is opened during even semesters, targeting undergraduate students. Then, from registration, the execution stage of the two programs will continue in August to December 2022.

Meanwhile, the Book Writing Grant Program with the target of lecturers at Udayana University has started in April 2022. Then it will be continued until November 2022, in the form of the execution stage of the final book results that are included in the MBKM program requirements.

Prof. Suarsana said that through these three programs, LPPM could help increase the achievement of PTN KPI. "If LPPM can help achieve IKU 1, namely Graduates Get Decent Jobs, then IKU 3 is Lecturers with Activities outside the campus and IKU 5 related to Lecturer's Work Results Used by the Community Or Get International Recognition," he said.

He hopes that the achievement of IKU can increase through student participation, then facilitate lecturers who have an interest in writing books so that they can increase the results of book publications by the Udayana University community.

"For the Thematic KKN MBKM, we hope that many students are interested and we hope that many students will participate. Before KKN there are 4,000 to 5,000 KKN students, of which 10 percent or around 500 students can participate, so that it can help IKU achievement," he said.

In addition, for the Independent Campus Research/Research Grant, it involves four students and their supervisors by using a verified laboratory on a national scale. said Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suarsana, M.Si can also choose universities with A accreditation or superior and universities with legal entities.

The launch of these three MBKM programs also received support from the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja, M.P., who said that she really supports the application of this program, especially increasing the number of students studying outside campus.

"In addition to increasing the IKU which is still quite low, so far we have only participated in very limited government programs because there is competition. So we independently make independent MBKM programs and Thematic KKN or Village Development and Research Programs or Independent Campus Research for students in a verified laboratory," said Prof. Rai Maya Temaja in her speech.

He hopes that in the future there will be an increase in the number of students studying outside the campus, then Udayana University can also take part in developing villages, so that students are formed to be able to understand the dynamics in the world of work and problems in society.

As for the Book Writing Grant, which will be carried out by lecturers, it is hoped that it will be able to realize many books and increase passion in writing books.

During the launch event, there was also a Socialization of MBKM Guidelines and Technical Guidelines for Developing Villages/KKNT, Independent Campus Research/Research Grants and Book Writing Grants with several speakers, namely the Chair of the LPPM, Secretary of LPPM Ni Made Ary Esta Dewi Wirastuti, Ph.D, the USDI Team Duman Care Khrisne, ST., MT and I Made Arsa Suyadnya, ST., MT and the Head of PWK Rajagrafindo Persada Bali Nusra, Nurarianto.
