AN ACADEMIC VISIT FROM LIBRARY DEPARTMENT OF SUMATERA UTARA UNIVERSITY TO DIPLOMA-3 LIBRARY DEPARTMENT OF UDAYANA UNIVERSITY

Denpasar- Udayana Diploma-3 Library Department was having an academic visit from Library Department of Universitas Sumatera Utara last Friday on 17th of February. They guest academicians were welcomed in Ruang Sidang of Faculty of Social and Political Study which located at Udayana’s campus in Denpasar. There were 33 students and 2 lecturers of the total 35 people from the visiting departments. Both departments shared information about their respective curriculum and teaching standard in the approximately 3-hour-long visit that was started at 1 PM in the afternoon.

 “In my opinion, this academic visit is essential for developing the teaching quality of the department from both universities, as well as to bring both departments’ academic relationships into a new level.” Said Richard Togaranta Ginting, the lecturer of Diploma-3 Library Department of Udayana University.

Richard also explained that such academic visit could turn into insight for both departments to do self-correction and eventually improve by learning about each other’s strength and eventually try to copy it.

The visitation ended at 4 PM with photo session between academicians of Udayana Diploma-3 Library Department and Library Department delegations of Sumatera Utara University. (dessrimama)
