Students of Food Technology Study Program, FTP Unud Educate Elementary School Students About the Dangers of Borax and Procedures for Distinguishing Healthy Foods

Food Technology Study Program students of FTP Unud or called Himatepa carried out community service on Saturday, 23rd April 2022. This activity was carried out to contribute directly to the community, especially students at SDN 1 Kubu Bangli related to food technology. This activity aims to provide education about the dangers of borax and procedures for distinguishing healthy foods.

 

This activity was attended and officially opened by WD 1 FTP Unud, Mrs. Dr. Sumiyati, S.TP., MP. Also present WD 2 FTP Unud Mrs. Dr. Ir. Ni Made Wartini, M.P., Department of Agriculture, Food Security and Fisheries of Bangli Regency, Village Head of Kubu Village, Head of the Tegal Suci Environment, Chair of KWT, Principal of SDN 1 Kubu, and representatives from all student organizations within FTP Unud.

 

The series of activities began with the opening and continued with the acceptance of the Community Service Committee in Kubu Village. After the official acceptance of the committee, the event continued with outreach at SDN 1 Kubu by providing education regarding "How to distinguish healthy food" and "Knowing what Borax is" then distributing pamphlets and masks by the committee at 16 strategic points in Kubu Village.

 

Chairman of the Community Service Committee Adi Wibawa hopes that through this community service activity, it can be useful for the community in Kubu, Bangli. Especially for students at SDN 1 Kubu so that in the future students at SDN 1 Kubu Bangli will have an early understanding of healthy food and know what borax is, so that they are more concerned and can be more responsive to the food that will be consumed starting from themselves, their families and the surrounding environment, so that The education provided can be informed and useful for others.
