All About Tabah Bamboo from Upstream to Downstream with Lecturer From FTP Unud
Bamboo is a multipurpose plant because all parts of the bamboo such as stems, leaves, roots and shoots can be utilized, including its use as part of traditional Balinese rituals. From a conservation perspective, bamboo functions as a plant on critical land and as a water reservoir. Tabah bamboo is a type of bamboo that is considered less and less cared for, especially in the Pupuan Tabanan area of Bali. Starting from the condition of Tabah Bamboo which is starting to become scarce, one of the lecturers of the Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering Study Program (TPB) Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University (FTP Unud), namely Dr. Ir. Pande Ketut Diah Kencana, M.S conducted research on the development of Tabah bamboo from upstream to downstream.
Mrs. Dr. Ir. Research related to bamboo has been carried out since 1990 when she was continuing her master's program at IPB University. She hopes that the research carried out can help to increase the selling price of the bamboo itself.
