New Building, Dean of FMIPA promises Rector to use building on Sudirman Campus as optimally as possible

Denpasar - Monday (17/1/2022) Coinciding with Rahina Purnama Sasih Kaulu a Blessing ceremony was held for the inaguration of the FMIPA Unud Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar. This blessing ceremony which was conducted by Jro Mangku Pura Dalem Balembong was attended by the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor for General Affairs and Finance, Head of Bureau, PPK Construction, Dean, Deputy Dean of FMIPA, Study Program Coordinator, Head of Unit, and all members of FMIPA.

 

 

 

The FMIPA academic community on this occasion felt very happy because almost 12 years of waiting for the completion of this new building had finally arrived. This four-level building, which has been equipped with a hall as a venue for holding seminars, electrical installation, Internet network, Air Conditioner, CCTV, fire detectors, and elevators is a building that used to increase the contribution of FMIPA to Udayana University.

 

The Dean of FMIPA Udayana University Dra. Ni Luh Watiniasih, M.Sc, Ph.D. on this occasion expressed her deepest gratitude to the Chancellor of Udayana University for his policies that have facilitated FMIPA as well as to all parties who have helped and contributed so that the building that was previously idle after a long time is finally now can be operated. Watiniasih promised to use this new building optimally, where this four-level building will be prioritized for lectures on postgraduate programs at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and the development of business units that are expected to provide services to the community.

 

Meanwhile, The Chancellor of Udayana University Professor I Nyoman Gde Antara in his speech,  expressed his gratitude because after about 12 years of being idle this building could be completed properly in just 105 days. FMIPA is welcome to use this building for adequate Tridharma activities so that FMIPA can contribute more to institutional development. Antara on that occasion also conveyed his plan to increase the number of student bodies for the MIPA Faculty postgraduate program and asked the Dean to immediately open a new Postgraduate study program. For this reason, a study program coordinator will immediately be appointed who can empower Study Programs within the FMIPA environment. Antara advised that the Dean of FMIPA not to use this building for undergraduate lectures considering that the development of infrastructure for undergraduates will be centered on the Bukit Jimbaran Campus. Postgraduate studies that were previously held in the Postgraduate building should be immediately moved to a new building because in Postgraduate various new study programs will be developed.

 

Furthermore, Antara conveyed a blueprint in infrastructure development at the Bukit Jimbaran Campus by means that eight new Deans will soon be built, one of which is the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, student dormitories, campus restaurants, wide road access, and centralized lecture buildings so that existing study programs are will become integrated and easier to coordinate. Antara expressed his commitment to issuing the same policy to advance all existing units so that all of them can work together, unite and coordinate with each other to advance the university by supporting the achievement of the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) of Udayana University. For that, last but not the least, Antara ask all of the FMIPA community to focus on working to advance the institution and discuss each other in providing input for joint progress.

 

After the blessing ceremony was over, the Chancellor and the leaders who were present accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences also had the opportunity to review the rooms in the building.
