Udayana University started a collaboration with PT. Indofarma Tbk which was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by the Chancellor who was represented by the Vice Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation, and Information at Udayana University with the President Director of PT. Indofarma Tbk located at Casablanca Ballroom Hotel Mulia Nusa Dua, Friday (12/03/2021)
Also present from Udayana University Dean of FMIPA Udayana University - Dra. Ni Luh Watiniasih, M.Sc, Ph.D, Coordinator of the Bachelor of Pharmacy Study Program - Dewa Ayu Swastini, S.F, M.Farm, Apt, and Prof. Dr.rer.nat., Drs. I Made Agus Gelgel Wirasuta, Spt., M.Sc. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in this case is the faculty that initiated the collaboration with PT Indofarma Tbk.
President Director of PT. Indofarma Tbk Arief Pramuhanto in his speech said that Indofarma is one of the pharmaceutical SOEs that focuses on Pharma, Herbs, and Medical Devices. If we can enter into phytopharmaceuticals, which are mostly domestic raw materials, we can certainly reduce dependence on imported medicinal raw materials. To achieve this, collaboration with universities and research institutions is needed. Arief Pramuhanto hopes that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding can be executed with a clear timeline.
Vice Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation, and Information at Udayana University Prof. Dr. dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, M.Kes. In his remarks, he expressed his very high appreciation for Indofarma's willingness to accept a team from Udayana University, especially the Pharmacy Study Program as an entry point to be able to organize further activities. Of course, this collaboration must have a clear work plan which is one of the indicators and will be monitored at the end of the year.
The Vice Chancellor hopes that through technical cooperation with the Pharmacy Study Program, especially cooperation in downstreaming research results, and if there are obstacles, they can be solved.
