Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Udayana University Commits to Enhancing Integrity Zone

Jimbaran, January 15, 2024 - The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) conducted an Integrity Zone Meeting led by its Dean, Prof. Dra. Ni Luh Watiniasih, M.Sc, Ph.D. In That Occasion, Watiniasih emphasized the importance of coordination in completing the Integrity Zone (ZI) report. Managers are expected to fill out the shared link for coordination and provide feedback on progress and challenges faced. An action plan for six areas of change must be compiled with reference to the Minister of PANRB Regulations and establish flagship services and change agents.

The ZI report must reflect achievements up to December and be submitted by February 16, 2023, at the latest. FMIPA and Udayana University prioritize the completion of this report as it will be forwarded to the Directorate General of Higher Education. The Inspirasi system must be filled out by managers, who have exclusive access to upload the necessary documents. The deadline for filling is the end of February, in preparation for the evaluation in March.

The meeting also discussed the importance of reading the PANRB guidelines, and it was conveyed that ZI is primarily managed by the chairman and secretary. There are several stages of ZI that must be completed, ranging from monitoring to publication. It is suggested that change agents do not get directly involved in the ZI committee. Media management also becomes a focus, with inter-faculty coordination that can be done online.

Watiniasih also asserted that, furthermore, innovation in the ZI assessment is a critical point, especially related to academic services. For example, at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the use of a specific program for student graduation is considered an innovation.

The next meeting is scheduled for January 19, 2024, where further discussions on progress and challenges will take place. Participants were reminded to ensure that students provide constructive feedback on faculty performance, as this will influence the evaluation. Faculty members are also expected to report their assets as part of this process.

The meeting concluded at 11:30 with a stress on the necessity of properly preparing all supporting documents such as minutes and photographs. This initiative is part of the university's effort to enhance integrity and innovation in academic and administrative services, in line with the established standards of the Integrity Zone, Watiniasih firmly stated.
