Reducing Panic and Threats about the Presence of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Communication Science Study Program Holds Public Lectures to Conquer

 

The Udayana University Communication Science Study Program held a Public Lecture with the theme "Development of Artificial Intelligence in the Field of Communication Science" on Monday, September 18 2023. A total of 110 Communication Science students from the 2020 to 2022 class took part in this Public Lecture in the Hall of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Science. As for this Public Lecture activity, all Communication Science students got a valuable opportunity to gain knowledge about artificial intelligence (AI) directly from Gilang Jiwana Adikara, S. Ikom., M. A. The man who is familiarly called Mas Gilang is an academic and AI observer.

In his narrative, Mas Gilang provided a general overview based on data regarding the development of AI, its application and conditions in everyday life, as well as the context in the field of Communication Science.

All Communication Science students who attended were very enthusiastic about participating in this Public Lecture. This can be seen from the students' high interest in discussing and asking questions throughout the activity.

Through today's Public Lecture, technological developments, in this case AI, are always considered a threat and cause panic, which should be responded to positively. Where, as a Communication Science student, the existence and development of AI can be used to make everyday life and work easier in the future.
