Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Udayana University Initiates Collaboration with Tsinghua University in Animal Conservation

On July 27, 2023 a meeting was held to initiate a collaboration between the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University, China and Udayana University, at the Office of International Affairs (OIA), Agrocomplex Building, third floor, Denpasar. In a meeting with several teaching staff and postgraduate students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University, China, the coordinator of the Office of International Affairs (OIA), Udayana University. Dr. Ir. Pudjianiki conveyed the idea of strengthening cooperation between the two universities, including with several faculties or study programs within Udayana University.
 
 
 
In the meeting, it was hoped that the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University (FVM UNUD) could use this opportunity to initiate a collaboration with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University, China. The head of the FVM UNUD foreign cooperation team, drh. I Made Kardena, SKH, MVS on that occasion also had discussions with Tsinghua University, China to collaborate, including preparing a Memorandum of Agreement document (MoA). Previously, several Chinese lecturers and students had conducted initial studies in the field of aquatic animals and had visited the Turtle Center and Conservation in Serangan, Bali, accompanied by several lecturers and students of FVM UNUD from the student organization interest in the Turtle. The Chinese lecturer and students observed several sick turtles who had broken flippers and planned to design artificial flippers to help these turtles.
 
 
Prof. Dr. Yongjian Li, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University welcomed the initiation of this collaboration and will follow up by preparing a memorandum of agreement (MoA) for both parties by further discussion via electronic mail. It is hoped that the cooperation of the two parties can be carried out so that Udayana University, especially the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UNUD can get the opportunity to increase the quantity of international cooperation while at the same time increasing the quality of academics and research.
