Doctoral Study Program in Medical Sciences FK Unud Deepens Natural Material Development Research

In order to deepen research knowledge in the field of natural materials, product development, patents, and business aspects on campus, the Doctoral Study Program in Medical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) held a hybrid guest lecture with the main location point in the Dr. A A. Made Djelantik, Udayana University Faculty of Medicine Building, Denpasar (19/7/2023).

This time the guest lecture was accompanied by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University and the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) Pharmacy School which was signed directly by the Dean of the ITB Pharmacy School, Prof. apt. I Ketut Adyana, M.Si., Ph.D.

Guided by the moderator, Dr. dr. Dyah Kanya Wati, Sp.A(K), this guest lecture presented 2 speakers, namely Prof. apt. I Ketut Adyana, M.Sc., Ph.D., with the topic: "Natural Materials, Product Development and Business Aspects in the Campus Environment" and Prof. Dr. err. Nat. Drs. I Made Agus Gelgel Wirasuta, Apt, M.Sc., with the topic: "Natural Materials and Study of Patent Development Potentials" and was accompanied by six panelists including:

1.Dr. Sayu Ketut Sutrisna Dewi, SE., MM., Ak. (Director of the Unud Business Management Agency)

2. Prof. Dr. dr. I Gde Raka Widiana, Sp.PD-KGH (Chairman of the Ethics Commission of FK Unud)

3.Dr. dr. I Gusti Ayu Artini, M.Sc (Dept. Pharmacology FK Unud)

4.Dr. dr. Ni Made Linawati, M.Kes (Dept. Histology FK Unud)

5.Dr. dr. HE. Ika Wahyuniari, M.Kes (Dept. Histology FK Unud)

6.Dr. dr. Luh Made Mas Rusyati, Sp.KK (K), FINSDV, FAADV (Dept. Dermatology and Venereology FK Unud)

The event was opened directly by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information Prof. dr. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., who in his remarks said that the potential for natural materials on the Island of the Gods (Bali) is still very large, so that development and research from a business perspective has enormous potential to generate profits for researchers and institutions.

"Hopefully, after attending the guest lecture, we can add to the information conveyed by the speakers who are also practitioners, as well as help the guest lecture participants to increase their knowledge in the field of developing research on natural materials," he said.

The guest lecture event was also attended by health practitioners from outside Udayana University, the Coordinator of the Doctor of Medicine Study Program, Prof. Dr. dr. I Made Jawi, M.Kes., Head of TPPM S3 Medical Sciences Prof. Dr. dr. I Wayan Putu Sutirta Yasa, M.Sc., lecturers and students in the Udayana University Medical Sciences Doctoral Study Program.
