Collaboration of the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University and STIKES Bina Usada Bali Provides Emergency Handling Training for Tourists in the Ubud Tourism Area

With the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic and the rise of Bali tourism, tourists are starting to arrive to enjoy tourism in Bali. This also has an impact on the possibility of accidents and health problems for tourists in the hotel environment which can occur at any time. Seeing these conditions, hotel employees as the closest people in the hotel environment are the first hope that can provide assistance to tourists.

In order to support tourism recovery and provide emergency education, the Travel Medicine Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) in collaboration with STIKES Bina Usada Bali held Training on Empowerment of Hotel Employees in Handling Emergencies for Tourists in the Ubud Tourism Area which at the same time opened networking with health education institutions and the world of hospitality in Bali. This event was held at the Meeting Room of the Ubud Raya Resort Hotel, Gianyar, and was attended by participants from hotel employees. (14/7/2023)

The event began with remarks from the Head of the Travel Medicine Unit, FK Unud, Dr. dr. Made Agus Hendrayana, M.Ked and continued with remarks from the Hotel Management Leaders. The training program was carried out by a team from the Travel Medicine Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University and from the STIKES Bina Usada Bali team. It is hoped that this training can increase the knowledge and practice of emergency assistance for hotel employees.
