Collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University and the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of Timor Leste in a training course on agriculture systems and topography mapping using RTK (Real Time Kinematics)

The visit of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of Timor Leste to Udayana University on Monday, 12 June 2023 this time is related to the collaboration of the Training Course On Agriculture System And Topography Mapping Using RTK (Real Time Kinematics) which will be held on 12-17 June 2023 in Bali. this collaborative visit was attended by the Director General of Agriculture and the Director of National Irrigation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of Timor Leste, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, Deputy Dean I FT, Coordinator of Civil Engineering Study Program of FT Unud and their staff.

This training activity is one of the implementations of the MoU in collaboration between the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of Timor Leste and Udayana University. This training was held from 12 to 17 June 2023 and was attended by 14 Engineering staff of the Directorate of Irrigation at the Ministry of Agriculture of Timor Leste where the trainers were lecturers from the Hydraulics and Soil Measurement Laboratory, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University. The training method used is a face-to-face class discussion method, as well as surveys and field practice. Field practice of using the tool will be carried out in a paddy field in the Sading area of Badung Regency. Besides that, field practice will also review the irrigation system in Jati Luwih, Tabanan Regency.

The training course on agriculture system and topography mapping using RTK (real time kinematics) will discuss how to use the RTK (Real Time Kinematics) method in the topographic mapping process, especially in agricultural areas to be able to help provide data in preparing agricultural systems at the Ministry of Agriculture of Timor Leste . Besides that, supporting materials were also given, such as materials on irrigation systems, water management, and others.
