International Seminar and Workshop on Scoliosis Ikayana Special Commissariat of Sports Physiology

 

In order to provide the latest science education and special knowledge in the field of scoliosis postural control management, the Master of Sports Physiology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held a hybrid Seminar and Workshop event with the main location point in Dr. A A. Made Djelantik, Faculty of Medicine Unud Building, Denpasar. (May 27-28, 2023)

 

In this event, participants who come from students and physiotherapy practitioners will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of a multidisciplinary approach in the management of scoliosis postural control, including preventive measures, risk management and complications that may occur.

 

The event was opened directly by the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. I Made Sudarmaja, M.Kes., who on this occasion said that the treatment of scoliosis requires various treatments from multidisciplinary disciplines, so organizing this event is very appropriate to provide education in the field of scoliosis.

 

The seminar and workshop this time were filled with various competent speakers in their fields both from within the country and from abroad, including:

1. Associate. Prof. Dr. Mintana Vongsitinavarat, M.Sc., Ph.D., D.PT (Mahidol University)

2. Prof. Dr. dr. I Ketut Suyasa, Sp.B., Sp.OT (K) (Udayana University)

3. Wahyuddin, Ftr., M.Sc. Ph.D (PT) (Esa Unggul University)

4. Putu Gede Dwijendra (Udana Yoga Academy)

 

This event is an integrated event from four fields of science, namely medicine, physiotherapy, yoga and sports which is held for 2 days, namely:

1. International Seminar which was held on May 27 2023 in Dr. A A. Made Djelantik, Faculty of Medicine Unud Building, Denpasar

2. Workshop held on May 28 2023 at the Cakra Vidya Usadha Building, FK Unud, Denpasar

 

It is hoped that this activity will not only provide benefits for the participants in deepening their knowledge, but also foster collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University and the Ikayana Special Commissariat of Sports Physiology (IKAFONA) so that they can continue to contribute to the world of health.

 

On this occasion, the event was also attended by KONI Bali representatives, Prof. Dr. dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, M.Kes., Chairman of IKAFONA, Dr. Made Bang Redy, M.Fis., IFI Bali representative, Govinda Vittala, S.Ft., Ftr., M.Fis., and the Coordinator of the Sports Physiology Masters Study Program, Dr. dr. Luh Putu Ratna Sundari, M. Biomed.
