Initiation of Cooperation between the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University and Rice University, Houston, USA through the Neuroscience-Artificial Intelligence Study Group of the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University


In order to improve cooperation with partners who are included in the QS100 list, the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held an online meeting with Prof. Anthony Brandt, academic at Rice University.(19/01/2023)


On this occasion the Head of the Neuroscience-Artificial Intelligence Study Group, Dr. dr. Cokorda Bagus Jaya Lesmana, Sp.KJ(K), MARS conveyed the possibility of collaboration with Prof. Brandt, which can be started by participating in the Udayana Senior Research Fellowship Grant. Mr. Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information, Prof. dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, MPH., PhD. explained the Grant Program which can be implemented for six months through various activities in Bali. Furthermore, a Cooperation Agreement can be drawn up for the continuation of collaboration between the two institutions.


Prof. Brandt was very enthusiastic and interested in the program from Udayana. He will soon prepare an activity proposal with Dr. Tjok Jaya Lesmana is especially related to Balinese culture, namely innovation using gamelan and dance which is related to the field of neuroscience. This activity was also attended by the UP2M Coordinator, UPIKS Coordinator, Members of the Neuroscience Study Group, and Prof. Elkhonon Goldberg, PhD., ABPP.
