Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University-Bekraf Denpasar City Presents the Roadmap for the Development of the Denpasar City Creative Economy 2022-2026

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Udayana University is collaborating with the Denpasar City Tourism Office through the Denpasar City Bekraf in the context of compiling a Road Map for Denpasar City Creative Economy Development 2022-2026. The Denpasar City Creative Economy Development Roadmap is a roadmap that serves as an operational guideline for the City of Denpasar in the next five years to develop creative economy development in the City of Denpasar. The presentation event was held at the Grand Mira Hotel, Denpasar Thursday, December 1 2022, which was followed by the signing of the Cooperation Agreement by the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University, Dr. Drs. I Nengah Punia, M.Sc and the Head of the Denpasar City Creative and Creative Economy Agency, Putu Lengkong Yuliarta. This cooperation agreement is expected to be able to develop strategic cooperation that allows it to be carried out in the future. The preparation of the 2022-2026 Denpasar City Creative Economy Road Map consists of a team chaired by Dr. Ni Made Ras Amanda Gelgel, S.Sos., M.Sc, along with Putu members Nomy Yasintha, S.Sos., M.PA, Richard Togaranta Ginting, S.Sos., M.Hum and a team from Bekraf Denpasar. Prior to the presentation and outreach, the team conducted in-depth research and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) over a period of 4 (four) months with several stakeholders who are considered to play an important role in the development of the creative economy in Denpasar City.

Ras Amanda said that the Denpasar City Creative Economy Development Roadmap is expected to guarantee an increase in the quantity and quality of local creative people supported by appropriate and quality educational institutions. In addition, it is hoped that this road map can ensure an increase in the quality of the development and utilization of local raw materials that are environmentally friendly and competitive. Ras Amanda added that the Denpasar City Creative Economy Development Roadmap also guarantees an increase in the growth and competitiveness of the creative industries, the provision of suitable financing for entrepreneurs
