Socialization and Clinical Skills Training for Young Pre-Doctors Udayana University's Faculty of Medicine's General Medical Student Association in 2022

In order to hone the clinical skills and mental readiness of final semester students in facing the clinical period or young doctors, the General Medical Student Association (HMKU) FK UNUD held a Socialization and Clinical Skills Training for Young Pre-Doctors (SOSPEL-DM) 2022 with the theme "Clinical Skills And Mental Readiness: Ready To Conquer The Co-Ass Period To Improve Doctors Professionalism And Competence”.

The 2022 SOSPEL-DM activity was carried out for 2 days on 15-16 October 2022, the first day in a hybrid manner which took place in the lecture room 3.01 West Building of FK UNUD, and the second day which was held online. SOSPEL-DM activities in 2022 include the provision of materials on tension pneumothorax, hecting, ECG CPR, socialization of Prof. Ngoerah Hospital, sharing session of co-ass, and sharing session of 8 departments during co-ass.

This activity was attended by 20 offline participants on the first day, 283 online participants, and 268 participants on the second day, consisting of 2018 2019 to 2022 medical students from all universities in Indonesia.

The SOSPEL-DM activity in 2022 presented 10 presenters and speakers who were competent in their fields, namely:

The 2022 SOSPEL-DM activity was opened by the Coordinator of the Udayana University Medical Undergraduate Study Program, dr. I Wayan Sumardika, S.Ked,. M.Med.Ed., Ph.D, who in his speech said that clinical skills are an important thing that must be frequently trained as a medical student so that the SOSPEL-DM is expected to be a place to hone these clinical skills.

“Clinical skills are different competencies, in the sense that they cannot only be obtained from textbooks, but must be done repeatedly” explained dr. Sumardika

This event was also attended by Ni Putu Ananda Putri Indrayani as the representative of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University and Stevanus Christian Surya as the representative of the General Medical Student Association of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
