UPPM FK Unud Reminds FK Unud Researchers of the Importance of Intellectual Property Rights (HKI)

 

The Research and Community Service Unit (UPPM) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University held a Seminar and Training on Intellectual Property Rights (HKI) located in room 3.02, FK Building, Denpasar. (30/8/2022)

 

The event which was attended by lecturers from each department at FK Unud presented 2 resource persons, namely, dr. Agus Eka Darwinata, S.Ked., Ph.D, and Dr. dr. Agung Wiwiek Indrayani, S.Ked., M.Kes. moderated by dr. I Putu Bayu Mayura, S.Ked., Ph.D.

 

The event was opened directly by the Dean of the Unud Medical Faculty, Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes, who in his speech said that research products must be registered as Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) to protect the wealth resulting from scientific processes so that they are not easily claimed by other people or by other countries.

 

"We must continue research results so that they are useful for the community and research results must be registered as a result of the scientific process. IPR is to protect the wealth of the results of the scientific process that we do so that it is not easily claimed by other people or by other countries and the government has provided facilities to register the results we have, as an institution we are obliged to register research results so that they can become an institution of pride," he explained.
