Murung Raya Regency Government Considers Working Together to Send Independent Residents with Medical Faculty Unud

The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University received a visit to explore cooperation in the field of the Tridharma of Higher Education from the Regional Government of Murung Raya Regency, East Kalimantan in Prof. Room. dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah, Medical Faculty Building, Denpasar. (08/8/2022)


The group led by the Regent of Murung Raya, Drs. Perdie M Yoseph M.A., welcomed by the Dean of FK Unud, Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes and the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K), and also the Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. dr. I Made Sudarmaja, M.Kes.


In his speech Dr. Januartha said that the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University has so far collaborated with hospitals in eastern Indonesia such as Papua, Maluku, Sulawesi, and East Nusa Tenggara to place independent residents according to the needs of their respective regions.


The Dean also welcomed the cooperation plan because both local governments and institutions benefit from each other.

"Local governments and institutions both benefit from each other, from the government getting doctors to support services in hospitals, while we from institutions get the opportunity to give students to work independently to deepen the skills and competencies they need," he explained.


"We hope that in the future, more local governments can be invited to work together in terms of placing senior residents in order to get their independent duties, in the future if we agree to cooperate, we can expand the scope of this cooperation not only in education, but also in all aspects of the tridharma of higher education," he added


The event continued with a discussion session which was also attended by the Head of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology, dr. I Wayan Suryanto Dusak, Sp.OT(K)., Coordinator of the Orthopedic and Traumatology Specialist Study Program, Dr. dr. I Gusti Ngurah Wien Aryana, S.Ked., Sp. OT(K)., and Dr. dr. Ida Ayu Ika Wahyuniari, S.Ked., M.Kes, as the Coordinator of the Information Management and Cooperation Unit (UPIKS) FK Unud
