Ready to Accompany MSMEs, Lecturer of Food Technology Study Program of FTP Unud Conjures "Menjamu" of More Modern Traditional Herbal Products

Lecturer of the Food Technology Study Program, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University (FTP Unud) Ms. Sayi Hatiningsih, S.TP., M.Si collaborated and joined a team with I Komang Budi Mas Aryawan, S.Pd., M.Pd from the Faculty of Informatics and Computers, ITB STIKOM Bali and Putu Devi Yustisia Utami, S.H., M.Kn from the Faculty of Law, Udayana University Together with students from the Food Technology Study Program, FTP Unud, namely Aulia Rahayu Ramadhani and Muhammad Eriansyah Al Hakim ready to assist the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) group.

 

Through the Directorate of Research, Technology and Community Service Grant program, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Community Service has been carried out by targeting the product brand "Menjamu" which is an MSME as an activity partner. The activity has been carried out on Monday-Tuesday, 11th -12th  July 2022 on Jln. Sutomo II No.3, Pemecutan Kaja Village/Kelurahan, North Denpasar District, Denpasar, Bali.

 

As is well known, Jamu is one of the traditional drinks from Indonesia known as traditional medicine which lately is often called herbal. Jamu is usually made from natural ingredients, in the form of parts of plants such as rhizomes, leaves, bark, and leaves. fruit. Through a touch of technology, "MENJAMU" is diversified as a traditional herbal product. The activities that have been carried out are training on diversification of traditional herbal medicine such as training on making rock sugar turmeric herbal medicine powder, granulated sugar turmeric herbal medicine powder, rock sugar ginger herbal medicine powder, granulated ginger herbal medicine powder, rock sugar ginger herbal medicine powder and sugar ginger ginger powder as well as training the use of social media Instagram and Facebook as product marketing media.

 

One of the team representatives, Ms. Sayi Hatiningsih, S.TP., M.Si, said that the hope of holding this program is to be able to provide information related to the diversification of traditional herbal products so that they can be more modern and accepted by all circles of society. help increase the production capacity of Entertaining SMEs at least 30% per month and increase turnover of at least 50% per month and will help Entertaining SMEs to obtain intellectual property rights/patents for the MENJAMU trademark and business licenses in the form of Trading Business (UD).
