FK Unud Educates on the Importance of Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace

The demands in the world of work that are increasingly high today make more and more problems that can increase stress in the work environment. Emotional intelligence is one of the factors that can help in overcoming problems that arise in the world of work. With this background, the Psychiatric Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University held a Guest Lecture with the theme "How Emotional Intelligence Can Help To Cope with Your Work Demands" located in the room of Dr. A.A Made Djelantik. Presenting resource persons from the University in Castellon La Plana Spain, Prof. Edgar Broeso Esteve, this event aims to increase participants' understanding of emotional intelligence in the world of work and increase the participation of the community and health workers in recognizing and developing emotional intelligence in solving problems in the world of work. Participants who attended this event came from health workers (doctors, nurses) and students of the Psychology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

The event was opened by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, S.Ked, Sp. OT (K) who in his speech expressed his gratitude to Prof. Edgar for sharing his knowledge and experience in this guest lecture.

"Hopefully the collaboration with Prof. Edgar can be even better, so that this collaboration can develop into the Psychology Undergraduate Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University which also has a field of science that is in line with psychiatry," he said.

Also attending this event were the Head of the Department of Psychiatry, dr. Ni Ketut Putri Ariani, Sp.KJ(K)., Head of Psychiatry Specialist Program, dr. Luh Nyoman Alit Aryani, Sp.KJ(K)., and all Lecturer Staff within the Department of Psychiatry.
