Food Technology Study Program, FTP Unud Arrival of a New Doctor, Ni Nyoman Puspawati Success in Doctoral Promotion Open Session Examination

The Food Technology Study Program, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University adds to the qualifications of lecturers with a Doctorate degree. Dr. Ni Nyoman Puspawati, S.TP., M.Si, one of the lecturers of the Food Technology Study Program, FTP Unud, was successful in the open trial for Doctoral promotion on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022.

 

The topics raised in the Doctoral promotion by Dr. Ni Nyoman Puspawati, S.TP., M.Si is the Functional Properties of Lactobacillus Indigenus as Antidiabetic in White Rats with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. The open trial for Doctoral promotion was successful, all examiners said they were satisfied with the answers given.

 

Dr. Ni Nyoman Puspawati, S.TP., M.Si reported that the specialty of the isolates used in this study was the source obtained from local food sources, namely kombuca tea, curd and bamboo. The best isolate in vivo was obtained from kombucha tea which has the potential to be developed as a probiotic with antidiabetic properties.

 

Dr. Puspawati also reported related to the downstream topic, namely the isolates used in the future can be said to be ready and can be applied to produce dairy-based food products as downstream products such as yogurt and yakult with preventive functions as a prevention of type 2 diabetes mellitus.

 

 

With the success of the doctoral promotion trial that was held, Dr. Ni Nyoman Puspawati, S.TP., M.Si succeeded in getting the 103rd Doctorate degree in agricultural science at Udayana University.
