Denpasar (24/05/2022), FISIP Udayana University in collaboration with KPCPEN (Committee for Handling Covid-19 and National Economic Recovery) held a FGD on COVID-19 Digital Public Communication Surgery. The event which took place in the Hall 4th floor of FISIP Unud Sudirman was filled with speakers from the KPCPEN Public Communication Team, Donny Budi Utoyo, as well as panelists from FISIP Unud academics, Dr. I Made Anom Wiranata and Calvin Damas Emil, S.I.Kom., M.Si. Broadly speaking, the presenters conveyed practical steps for setting agendas that can be done in public communication activities, in the context of a pandemic, namely fighting hoax information. In addition, the importance of institutions/institutions managing the dissemination of information with an integrated system both in terms of social media and the official website is also the main topic of discussion. This management model was introduced with the term “carrier” concept. The discussion session was interactive between the presenters, panelists, and participants including students and lecturers. Towards the end of the event, participants were invited to play an online interactive quiz with a number of virtual balance prizes. The KPCPEN team said that there are still many interesting things to discuss so that we can learn from each other. Therefore, in the future, it is hoped that this collaboration can continue with updated topics that are still within the scope of public communication. The event then closed with a group photo session.
