Udayana University Postgraduate Program Holds First Lecture, Taking Place in Hybrid, Participated by 1,309 New Students
Jimbaran - Postgraduate at Udayana University (Unud) held the First Lecture for the Odd Semester 2024/2025 which took place in a hybrid combination of online and offline at the Widya Sabha Auditorium Building, Jimbaran Campus, Tuesday (10/9/2024). The inaugural lecture, which was opened directly by the Rector of Unud, was attended by 1,309 new postgraduate students spread across 69 study programs in 11 faculties and 1 postgraduate.
Postgraduate Director of Unud Prof. I Wayan Budiasa in his report said that of the 1,309 new Postgraduate students for the 2024/2025 Odd Semester, 743 students (56.8 percent) were contributed by the three big UPPS, namely the Faculty of Medicine with 345 students, the Faculty of Economics and Business with 223 students, and Postgraduate with 175 students. student. Furthermore, of the 1,309 new Postgraduate students, 375 students attended offline at the Widya Sabha Building, and 934 students attended online. Through this opportunity, the Director of Postgraduate Studies at Unud also expressed his thanks to all parties who contributed to the implementation of this inaugural lecture.
Meanwhile, the Rector of Unud, Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana in his speech expressed his welcome to Udayana University to the new postgraduate students. The Rector also advised new students to follow the regulations at Udayana University so they can graduate on time. The study period is the length of the curriculum, where the Master's is 4 semesters or two years, the Doctoral Program is 6 semesters or three years, the Professional is one year and the others are all expected to graduate on time.
"Our performance indicator is that we are expected to be able to graduate students in accordance with the curriculum period, even though the permitted study period is twice the curriculum period. If we exceed this limit, there will be no negotiation because the system has been blocked and the national diploma or PIN numbering will not be possible, for this reason it is hoped that can graduate on time," said the Rector.
The Rector further explained that the implementation of education at Udayana University is supervised internally by the Inspector General from the Ministry of Education and Culture to ensure quality higher education and fulfill Good Governance. The education process at Unud is also supported by the Academic Administration Management Information System (SIMAK) which has been integrated into the Integrated Management Information System of Unud (IMISSU) which is managed by the Data and Information Systems Unit (USDI), scientific publication services by the Scientific Journal and Publication Unit ( JUPI) Udayana University, complete and quality academic facilities and infrastructure such as subscriptions to quality journals managed by UPT Libraries, services to improve English language skills by UPT Language Lab Udayana University.
"To be serious, all new students must complete their education on time according to the Curriculum Period," said the Rector.
